What I love about PR is that no two days are ever the same. Now, having worked in the industry for almost nine years, it’s true to say that no two jobs are ever the same either. This means that whenever you’re joining a new company, you never really know what to expect. How is the team structured? What are their preferred methods? Do they have decent coffee?
Joining Nobull I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous. No matter how much experience you have, the first time you step into the office can often be an overwhelming moment. Thankfully, I’d already got to know the team at the Christmas Party, which made the transition much smoother. Everyone was friendly and extremely welcoming, and it meant that by the time I walked through the doors, I already knew I’d be working with a great bunch of like-minded people.
Although I’ve just started here, I already feel like a part of the team. Of course, you need to go through the induction process, and I’m still learning the different requirements for each client. However, in my first week I’m glad to have already been involved on client calls, writing copy, and help shape PR plans.
Having trained as a journalist before stepping into my first Communications job in 2016, I’ve always enjoyed the ever-evolving and fast-paced environment of PR. My career has seen me work with a variety of automotive and motorsports brands, while I’ve experienced what it’s like on both agency and client-side. I’m keen to take what I’ve learned over the years to help drive Nobull’s PR forwards and deliver exceptional service for the brands we represent.
What excites me most about this industry is that every brand has a unique story. The key is finding the best way to tell it, so that others can be inspired, informed and engaged. It’s about connecting with people through compelling narratives that leave a lasting impact and create meaningful experiences.
Ultimately though, the people you work with are what’s most important to job satisfaction for me, and Nobull definitely has that box ticked!
